- It has been exactly two weeks since we sent one of Butters' hearing aids for repair due to static-y feedback - we still do not have it back and his hearing booth test is next Wednesday. Feel slightly better after getting off phone with audi and finding out that he will be tested unaided.
- Hubby has been working long hours this week which has Butters out of sorts and staying up pretty late so that he can see dad when he finally gets home. This has NOT led to Butters sleeping later in the morning
- I find out that I have a flat tire on my car the evening before I have to take Butters to get his shots
- Hubby gets donut on car, take Butters the next day for shots - he screams bloody murder, have to go to the car place to get tire repair while Butters is screaming all the way across town.
- Manage to get to my own doctor's appointment, but not before Butters discovers the air vent in the floor, plants his face directly onto it while the cool air is blowing, then as an added bonus, he spits up right into the air vent. Don't have time to clean it up. Since Butters is on a roll this day, he greets the nurse practitioner by grabbing the bottom of her dress and pulling it straight up.
- My mom calls when I'm cooking dinner, Butters is screaming at the top of his lungs, I don't know when hubby will be coming home, my mom is telling me about my dad still being in bad shape, my aunt being taken to a nursing home, I'm juggling the phone and a tomato can, when I slice my thumb on the lid, then worry for the rest of the night about contracting flesh eating bacteria.
- Just had to completely re-type this whole entry since Butters decided roll over here to check out what I was doing on the laptop and he stuck his little fingers onto the keyboard and pressed a bunch of keys wiping out everything I had previously typed
So, on a lighter note, I am attaching another video of Butters and his monologue. He typically does this throughout the day. I am heartened that he seems to be happy while doing this, but it makes story and listening time pretty difficult. I posted a video of him talking a few months ago. I realize that he can feel this sensation in his throat, but I am hopeful that he can hear some of this too. Lord knows I can along with the whole rest of the neighborhood.
Of course once a week starts off that way, it ends up that way just so you can laugh it all of before being admitted. Hope your week/days get better. Love all Butter's vocalizations!!!
ReplyDeleteTammy, it's funny that you mention that part about "being admitted," because that's exactly what I've been telling people! We're gearing up for the booth test and especially the MRI results. This may just call for some chocolate and wine.
ReplyDeleteLove the singing!
