The best part was that when we got home and got his new ear on, he left it on for the rest of the afternoon. Even better... whenever his magnet would fall off disabling his implant, he would begin to cry.
I realize this does not mean smooth sailing from here on out. We have MANY challenges facing us. But I feel that this is going to be the best thing for him. We have a fresh start. I am holding onto that.

Wow!!! Made me teary-eyed! I am glad he took to it in a positive way :) I hope it keeps getting even better.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Ellen! He is still doing well, however the other day he did pull it off to examine it for a second before waving it around in the air like a lasso. Oh well. I know you're excited and anxious about Peter's surgery and activation and I am thinking about you guys and know he will do fantastic. Sending big hugs!
